CrystalSCAN | Parallel Crystallization System
CrystalSCAN is a desktop, automated, parallel crystallization monitoring platform that helps determine the solubility curves and MSZW (metastable zone width) of multiple samples and optimize the required crystallization process. The standard system supports 8 individually controlled reactors, each equipped with HEL's proprietary crystal monitoring probe CrystalEYES.
In addition to automatic stirring, heating, and cooling of each sample, CrystalSCAN can also automatically add selected solvents/counter solvents and dilute each sample separately at the end of each cycle. Therefore, data on dissolution and nucleation points can be automatically determined under a series of experimental conditions, thereby generating solubility curves and characterizing MSZW, respectively. The former provides a foundation for optimizing the required crystallization process, while the latter provides insights into larger scale process behavior, providing information and facilitating process development.
The combination of high-throughput and high data content accelerates the development and optimization of the required crystallization process and shortens commercialization time.
